Solution
Construction of the technology includes a scanning laser head mounted on a robotic arm, capable of precisely removing metallization from fixed parts positioned on a four-station carousel. Each quadrant performs a specific operation to achieve the shortest possible cycle time. Final product inspection is carried out using neural networks, with the camera module also mounted on the robot.
Results
- The accuracy of the laser itself is in hundredths of a millimeter.
- Removal of only a defined area without thermally affecting the plastic substrate.
- Various metal layers or paints and varnishes can be removed without damaging the base material.
- The substrate can be both transparent and “milky” plastic materials.
